Model left disfigured after injecting cooking oil in her face

A woman was left severely disfigured after she injected cooking oil in her face.
Former South Korean model Hang Mioku, injected herself with oil after doctors refuse to do more plastic surgery on her.
Mioku became so addicted to plastic surgery she began injecting cooking oil into her face, which eventually, permanently disfigured her. Mioku was only 28-years-old when he began receiving silicone injections in her face. She wanted smooth but firm skin. She believed the injections help her to achieve the perfect face.
But over time, doctors began to refuse to do more plastic surgery on her face. At first, she bought silicone on the black market, later she began using cooking oil and injected it herself. Mioku is now almost 50-years-old. Her nightmare began when her face became severely disfigured from the oil she used, her face began to blow up and she started looking like an old woman.
Doctors determined that she needed corrective surgery but she did not have the money for the surgery. Mioku appeared on a television program where many people donated money in order to enable her to receive surgery.
“Mioku was a beautiful woman. She was a model. She lived the life many girls can only dream of. It is so sad that she took the risk of touching her face, herself, in the name of beauty. Now, she lost it all, her face is so disfigured, and she looks very old,” Amy Young, 36, of Seoul, South Korea told  after seeing photos of the former model.
She underwent a number of operations in which doctors removed silicone, oil and other foreign substances, from her face and her neck.
Despite the surgeries, she is still disfigured. Now, she regrets her actions and she wishes she could have her old face back.
